SUMMER VACATION IN VINSCHGAU

Original and unique

Between special summit experiences and historic Irrigation Channel Paths

Surrounded by the second largest nature reserve in Europe, the Stelvio National Park, the Texel Group Nature Park and three mountain groups, the Vinschgau valley is one of the most eventful and original valleys in South Tyrol - and the Residence Montani is right in the middle of it. Typical for Vinschgau valley? The special dry climate with lots of sunshine, mild temperatures and the famous “Vinschger Wind”. What makes the Vinschgau valley so special? The lush green vegetation on the Monte Tramontana mountain and the barren slopes of the dry Monte Sole mountain with a flora and fauna unique in the Alps.

Hiking?
In summer there are numerous shady paths along the green, water rich Monte Tramontana mountain: on extensive summit or panoramic tours you will be truly enchanted by the view and the mountain world. Must see? The historic Irrigation Channel Paths, which can be walked all year round without any significant incline. v

Rather with the cable car
High up you can go with the two cable cars in Latsch. The St. Martin im Kofel cable car leads to a mountain farming village and to the Monte Sole mountain. The hiking paradise Tarscher- and Latscher Alm on the opposite Monte Tramontana mountain can be reached with a simple chairlift.

The alpine pasture calls
The landscape in Vinschgau valley is characterized by high pastures and the greatest density of traditional South Tyrolean alpine huts. The vastness, tranquility and view of the mountain world of the alpine huts give a stunning atmosphere and summer peace and relaxation. What must not be missing? A typical South Tyrolean alpine meal. How that tastes!
